Minutes of the PTA meeting held on Tuesday 18th April 2017

General Discussion-

Will sell off rest of crème eggs after school next week.

It was agreed that £2000 will be spent on laptops at the moment, a

further £2000 will be spent hopefully later in the year.

We still have to pay for mini-bus, sports coaches & pantomime

Total of money raised at Easter Fair was £242.00

£20.00 from ice creams

£15.00 from roundabout

£42.75 from donations

£18.00 from face painting

£196.34 from barbecue

EXPENSES were £50.01

The PTA consists of :

  • Chairperson – Phil Fellows
  • Secretary – Laura Turner
  • Treasurer – Vicky Norris
  • School link – Lesley Green
  • Parents who come along to help at events.


Over the last year, the PTA have been raising money to purchase equipment for the school, and to benefit the children.

The PTA contribute annually to the upkeep of the school minibuses, and pay for the school panto and crackers.

In the last year, the PTA have paid for shelving in the new library, sports coaches to work with children at lunch breaks, play equipment, the fish tank in Oasis, wet play games. The PTA are currently contributing towards a cover for the Reception area, and towards the purchase of tablet computers for KS2 children.


The PTA hold events throughout the year to raise funds for the benefit of children in the school. These events include-

  • Christmas Fair
  • Easter Fair and egg hunt
  • Summer Fair
  • Discos
  • Movie Club shows
  • Refreshments at Sports Days, Parents evenings.
  • BBQ and after school sales.


The PTA are open to all parents and carers, and are always looking for new fundraising ideas and members.
