Fabulous Festive Fun

Christmas magic was in the air when Birchington Primary School held its annual sparkling festive fair.

Pupils and families were treated to a variety of stalls offering whole range of festive themed-goodies from decorated home-made cakes and clothes, sweets to toys and jewellery.

Santa Claus was in his grotto helped by his trusty elf, and they chatted to children about their hopes for what December 25th may bring, while a roundabout ride with colourful lights lit up the playground.

Musical choral and dance performances were enjoyed by the packed hall, and face-painting, the candy floss stall, the tombola, raffle, games and hot dog and refreshments stalls were also popular.

QUOTE by Lesley Green FLO: "Once again we had a cracking Christmas fair that really had something for everyone. There were lots of happy faces and a real strong community spirit, which was lovely.

"We raised £1400 for the PTA. Big thanks go to everyone who worked so hard to set the fair up, decorate the two halls and the grotto, and thanks also to everyone who came along and supported us.
