Year R have had an exciting term with many visitors in for our People Who Help Us topic, please see the EYFS page on our website for pictures!
Adventurers have also been enjoying PE this term, using the climbing frame wall bars and other equipment in the hall to move around in different ways and manage their own safety effectively. The children have been pulling, pushing, balancing and jumping, practising good control and co-ordination. We have been working on making our muscles stronger which we hope will help us with our writing too!
Year R had a wonderful time rehearsing and performing our Christmas Nativity. Every child played a key role in the performance, spending time learning new songs, practising dance moves and playing percussion instruments. We performed our show a number of times to school pupils and parents and carers and the children all did the school proud, well done Year R!
This term we have been making new friends, playing with new toys and equipment and learning about the rules and routines in school. We have had lots of fun exploring our forest area, riding bikes and trikes on the playground and building and creating in our outside classroom. We have had a great first term and we can't wait for the next!
