Year R have had an exciting term with many visitors in for our People Who Help Us topic, please see the EYFS page on our website for pictures!
Challengers have also been having fun in the forest this term investigating frost, ice and other signs of winter. We have been learning about length, capacity and weight in maths and we have applied this learning in the forest. We have made colourful and muddy potions, collected sticks of different lengths to create pictures with and found heavy and light items to compare.
Year R had a wonderful time rehearsing and performing our Christmas Nativity. Every child played a key role in the performance, spending time learning new songs, practising dance moves and playing percussion instruments. We performed our show a number of times to school pupils and parents and carers and the children all did the school proud, well done Year R!
This term we have been making new friends, playing with new toys and equipment and learning about the rules and routines in school. We have had lots of fun exploring our forest area, riding bikes and trikes on the playground and building and creating in our outside classroom. We have had a great first term and we can't wait for the next!
