In Term 3 we have been learning lots of new and exciting things!
We have read ‘The Fairytale News’ in English this term, we have used the Library to read stories of our own choice as we love reading! We have also been developing our sentence skills knowledge with question marks and exclamation marks to support us in writing our own stories!
In Science, we have been learning about humans and our body parts. We have been labelling each other, which was so much fun! We have also learnt about our five senses which included a lesson of different activities testing these out such as eating different flavoured crisps and playing with musical instruments, we really enjoyed that too!
During Term 2, we have been learning lots of new and exciting things! We have been learning about 2D and 3D shapes in Maths, we have organised the shapes into lots of different groups and we now understand that a 3D shape is a solid shape that you can pick up!
We have been reading the book ‘The three little wolves and the big bad pig’ in English, which we have thoroughly enjoyed! This has supported us in developing our basic sentence skills by using capital letters, finger spaces, connectives and full stops.
We have been super busy this term! We have learnt about London and have created landmarks using junk modelling and finger painting inspired by Leonard Afremov.
We have been learning addition in maths with the use of manipulatives and ordinal numbers where we had races to see who came 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th, we really enjoyed that!
