We have had an exciting term!
We are really enjoying reading Stig of the Dump and have learnt to divide using the formal written method.
We are going on a trip to Canterbury Cathedral and have been learning about the history of Canterbury.
This term Year 4, in celebration of the General Election, took part in their own election. They were given a choice of 3 themed days that they could have in the up-coming term. They had to choose one to vote for, cross it off on their polling card and then insert their vote into a ballot box.
We also lead our Christmas service in All Saints Church. All children worked extremely hard to learn their lines and were able to project their voices with confidence. Their singing was beautiful and everyone enjoyed listening to the Christmas story.
This term, 4W have been looking at Ancient Egypt. We have been exploring the importance of the Nile, what life was like and even creating our own Egyptian jobs. The class have investigated artefacts and tried to discover what each item was used for.
We are really excited to continue exploring Ancient Egypt and all the mysteries held in the pyramids, including how they mummified bodies.
