Year R have enjoyed our 'Fairy Tales' topic this term. We have listened to, watched and retold a wide range of traditional fairy tales, including The Elves and the Shoemaker and Rapunzel. We have had lots of fun in some exciting activities! We planted beans to help Jack reach the giant's castle and followed a recipe to make our own delicious gingerbread men. We also helped the Three Billy Goats Gruff cross the river safely by making a bridge and built different houses for the Three Little Pigs by experimenting with different tools and materials
It has been wonderful to be back to school with our friends and teachers, we have had a lovely term!
The children in Year R have settled so well and have enjoyed their very first term of school. They have spent time in their classrooms, making friends and learning lots of new things. The children have also had great times riding the bikes and trikes on the playground and exploring the forest area. We, in Year R, are so proud of them all and we are looking forward to an exciting and busy term 2!
