Rationale
Religious education should enable every child to flourish and to live life in all its fullness (John 10:10). It will help educate for dignity and respect, encouraging all to live well together.
Religious Education (RE) develops children's knowledge of, and ability to understand, religion. It makes a significant contribution to pupils' academic and personal development and is a subject that is intellectually challenging and personally enriching.
Religious education helps children to develop their beliefs and values and promotes respect and empathy, which is so important in today's diverse society.
